Good news! / (update) bad news (Patreon)

My webcam and Lapel mic came through the mail today! 

The company that I bought my Rode NTS USB mic from said they won't get new stock till Aug 21, but I have 3 mics at home and did a few audio tests with 3 different mics today, and the lapel won! It's still very good sound. 

Nothing I can really do about the road noises, but the lapel definitely sounds less echo-ee and road noises are minor. 

The webcam means it won't look as good as my 70D, but at least it won't stop every 30 mins automatically and the batteries won't die on me. Webcam is one of the best in the market, it's  1080HD at 60fps, it's just that it's a webcam, so it won't look as 'crispy' aha, but I think that's a me problem and most people won't notice. 

Anyway, hoping to start filming again soon.

update: upon some more research, I decided to return the logitech c922 and get a logitech BRIO which shoots in 4K and is overall better. I just couldn't deal with the image quality of the c922. BUT the brio is going to arrive mid next week and I still have plenty of things to edit in the mean time.
