Hello! I have something fun today that will help improve the interactivity in your game world!

After releasing the breakable crates and pots earlier this week, I had this idea for some more animations for interactable objects.

These animations are designed to work with the ores that I released some time ago. I think that I'm going to include them in the upcoming Elements Caves tileset release.

imo animations like these are important for getting that nice gamefeel in the game interaction, but it's easy to forget about these in favor of more flashy stuff like characters and environments.

So I hope that you find these useful!

(These will look the best when used the mining character animations (either Time Fantasy or Elements!)! Of course, putting that together in RPGMaker is a little beyond my scope for the preview image 😅)

(oops-- i just realized that the preview is wrong lol, the little gold ore on the wall shows the coal animation when he mines it-- i didn't do it right in rpgmaker...😫.. but i'm not gonna go back and record it again 😝)

This set includes a few different animations: First is a little simple impact animation. The intent for this is to be the impact sparks for when mining the ore.

Secondly, each ore has two animations for when they get mined: simple small or large variations so you can have different-sized deposits (to match up with the original ore tile sheet).

There are two main types of ore-mine animations: the chunky rock ones and then the sharper crystal ones. Each of these has a few different colors to make a variety of ore types. Again, these correspond with the ore sheet linked above.

For RPG Maker, these are arranged in a Battle Animation format. You can play them on-map as battle animations that target the events. That's how I made the preview gif above.

Okay-- that's the last release for this month!

I'll be back this weekend with the usual end-of-month stuff. See you soon.

Thanks!
