Beetles (Patreon)

Hello! Today's release is inspired by some patron requests.

These different designs were based on different types of fighting beetles. It's popular in Japan and other Asian cultures to raise horned beetles and fight them against each other. Apparently this was the inspiration for Pokemon!

So for these sprites, I focused on creating variations with different types of heads. Maybe in your game, you can collect the different types. This gave me the idea to include a sheet of golden versions for each one!~

• Beetles - Golden - 200% (RMVX) 
• Beetles - 300% (MV/MZ) 
• Beetles - Golden - 300% (MV/MZ) 

(Remember-- if you're using RPG Maker, add a $ to the filename so the engine recognizes these as "single sheets". Use the "direction fix" to isolate the varieties)

Anyways-- now that I've come up with these different designs; I'm anticipating requests for the full four-directions for them. 😛 

I was originally just going to make a single four-direction beetle, but then I went down the route of exploring different designs instead, and thought about the "collectible" idea for fighting beetles, so we have these variations instead of a single sprite.

Depends on how you want to use them in your game-- but it seems to be a common request whenever I make something like these. Should I revisit these beetles soon and expand the animations?
