Hello! Today's release is based on a patron request.

Last few weeks, I've been putting together a bunch of releases based on patron suggestions for an Inside the Monster's Belly dungeon area.

This beating heart can serve as a focal setpiece for the dungeon-- maybe it's your character's goal, maybe it's a notable part of a central hub chamber... maybe it's the boss itself!

There's been some requests for monster sprites too-- something that would make sense in this dungeon. I think I might take a stab at one or two of these for next week. And then after that, I can compile all of this stuff into a pack release.

The Monster's Belly pack will be free for all patrons at the $5+ tier, and I'll also put it up on itch.io for sale. Just like some other packs that I've released before.

If you have any more ideas for additions to the pack, or suggestions for monster sprites that will fit the theme-- head over to this month's request thread. Hoping to lock this in with whatever I make for next week's request releases; so get in soon.

Have a wonderful weekend. See you next week!

Thanks!

I can't see myself using this. No offense, but it's not connected to anything. It's like this monster is surgically extracting giant hearts, swallowing them, and then they're still beating for some reason. I dunno. Maybe this is just one of those "Shut up, Eitan, it's supposed to be for easy image recognition" things. Like how all "meat" in video games has at least one bone in it, which is promptly eaten along with the meat. I guess the heart of a weird monster would be this gigantic, partially embedded pulsating thing that nobody would recognize as a heart. And if everything's cartoony, you can justify the lack of pixelated blood. Clearly, I'm on both sides of the issue.

Yeah, it's meant to be hanging from the ceiling-- but there's not really a good way to have it connect, because of the perspective and there is no visible ceiling. I tried some stuff but this ended up being the way that seemed the least restrictive and most versatile for users to implement.
