I never saw a life insurance add where the spokesman is like, "If you don't have life insurance what the fuck is wrong with you?! People die dummy. Do you want your family to eat dog food because your stupid ass didn't prepare?" I see a lot of commercials but only the Democrats think shaming people is a good campaign strategy

As someone who grew up watching Kari Lake on TV in Phoenix, it was a trip to see her make her rise as a right wing star. I had no idea that there was speculation or debate about her race. I'm Mexican American and given she was in the Phoenix market I always just assumed she was part Latina of some sort. Haha

The Democrats' brand is that they're supposed to be smart, so senility hurts, but Democrats have been claiming that Republicans are senile and mentally retarded since 1984-- and the Republicans always win! Remember when they said Bush 2 had fetal alcohol syndrome? Doesn't matter!

In a weird way I think not only do the Republicans not care that much about their candidates being dumb or demented, but also for that base being too smart can almost be a negative. I remember a big part of the anti-John Kerry messaging when he ran was that he was too book smart and intellectual and that made him somehow a snobby egghead to Bush’s folksy regular guy ways.
