Last comment: I think this is the reason I never got into superhero comics as a kid. I loved reading comics like Bone and Calvin & Hobbes (even manga) but the superhero mythos was just so continuity driven over decades (I just stuck with the cartoon adaptations). This next part is only semi-related, but I hate how the American comics industry is dominated by superheroes. Other countries like France and what not don’t let one genre dominate everything and their comics industries are still thriving ( sorry for the load of comments. I REALLY enjoyed this discussion😅)
