I don’t even think people realize what Kendrick did. Euphoria was a warning shot. 6:16 in LA was the beginning of his deconstruction of Drake. In 6:16 LA he starts with where he’s at in life and a prayer to God. It’s so much more introspective than anything Drake could deliver. Drake would’ve won against most rappers but Kendrick said himself, “I can heal and give you art”. He put the same album level of artistry in a series a diss tracks with the intent of deconstructing who Aubrey is as a person and who Drake is as an artist.

Facts, that line along with the previous one “circadian rhythms of a shooting star” is better writing than anything Drake has ever done

Being Jamaican in the late 90’s to early 2000’s gave you unearned and unnecessary cool points. DJ Ak was just lame. Black Americans weren’t hating on him for being Jamaican lol. This is why he’s so cool with Drake. They’re both on this non-ending high school revenge mission. My classmates, they went on to be chartered accountants Or work with their parents, but thinkin' back on how they treated me My high school reunion might be worth an appearance Make everybody have to go through security clearance -Drake That’s a hard line, but dude you already won a long time ago. Letting things go and maturing to the next stage in your life is hard for these guys.

Great discussion. I’m not a hip hop listener but this line from Vida really stood out as profound: “In America we have a really hard time understanding nothing is individualistic”

Mario is going to blush listening to these episodes. Everybody talking about great points he made and how they wish he was on the show

33:40 Wiggers also get annoyed by pro-black spaces because they are harder to infiltrate, and there is no black barbarism to consume.

Kinda wish this was more balanced, As a drake fan I would admit dude lost. But his career over? Untalented? Idk about all that

To me, Drake is just another lame pop artist like Taylor Swift and Kendrick is an actually good artist who bares his soul

A lot of social media or internet that goes viral is fake. The Twitter files exposed some of this. Some viral content just has a preferable algorithm. The ruling class wants to make sure we get our programming.
