This week Ken, Vida and Trevor gather up to giggle at the ghost of Drake. Dudes so dead his houses are getting sold and the kids left the country. Kendrick sent Canadians least tolerable export to the grave, and the only thing left is a some (allegedly) PDF files… all this and more is discussed in this 3hour 2 part Drake dissing special.

I forgot to mention Wayne followed the same model as well. 50 Cent used to complain about it a lot. When I was in college in like 05, Wayne had the south on lock and you could find dude featuring on the most random no-name artist tracks. Drake perfected that model.

Dope episode but Vida interrupting everybody for long monologues is grating.

Sean

I didn’t feel that way at all about Vida. This episode wouldn’t have been as dope without her.

Jimmy McMillan

I was glad to hear Vida back on the pod after so long. I like how she asks people to clarify their points especially when they have an academic on

Loved hearing Vida again! The point about Kendrick referring to Drake’s being a “Black man” was something I missed while listening to that song .

Champagne Sharks

He called Drake’s son a black man. There is a verse where he addresses Drake’s son. Vida’s point was that if he can think of Drake’s 1/4 black son as black then clearly it’s not Drake’s 1/2 black phenotype that Kendrick thinks disqualifies Drake from being a part of black culture but his attitudes.

Randall Wyatt

Yup I caught that, I just didn’t realize it until Vida brought it up here. Great episode.

Nora

Somebody said the best actors are blank slates !!

Vida is right about how Degrassi was a huge hit! but I think Drake still did NOT get the amount of girls he wanted to then/being mixed at that time in Canada was probably problematic and difficult for him…We can tell Drake still obviously has identity issues
