I'm happy to announce that you will have a chance to be among the first people in the public to get your questions about the new Norwegian rune find answered. Krister Vasshus of the University of Bergen, whose Twitter thread is the best source about the new find that I've seen, is going to come for a live interview this Saturday, January 21st, at 8:00 a.m. U.S. Mountain time. That should be morning  if you're in the Americas, late afternoon in west Eurasia/Africa, and late at night in East Asia/Oceania, but check timeanddate.com for your specific local time (use Denver for my time).

The Zoom link is here (https://cuboulder.zoom.us/j/95153605601) and the passcode is 586533.

This means there will be two live Zoom events Saturday, as we also have the first Beowulf reading with Simon Roper that day (details here, Zoom link here).

I hope you'll have the chance to take advantage of this opportunity; I think it's a rare treat to be getting access to someone this close to the new find this early after its first public announcement. If you can't make it and have questions you'd like answered, put them in a comment below and I will try to get them answered if Krister doesn't talk about them in the course of his presentation or answering another live question.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support, and all the best for now,

Jackson Crawford

P.S. My Patreon messages don't work. I don't get notifications for them, and there's nothing on my home page to show me when there is or isn't a message. I can't even always see them when I check for them manually, and you won't see it if I reply! The best ways to get in touch are: a) just to comment on posts like this, b) to post in the  Community page, or c) to email my assistant Stella at [admin AT JacksonWCrawford.com]--remember the 'W' between my first and last names in that domain name.

Here's a word of advice and encouragement from someone "older hence wiser" you didn't ask for, Jackson: if you wanna see that stone then buy a ticket and go - it's not like you have to bring kids to school or something so profit from your possibility to do anything, so that you don't regret later cudda-shudda-wudda but..coz nothing waits around and all other things can be re-managed/re-arranged..🤗 P.S. Looking forward to Krister returning soon!👍

We'll see. If I thought there were an important video to do that I needed the physical presence of the stone for, I'd consider it more strongly--but it's doubtful I could get close access to it even if I went.
