As all of you know (none of you better than Stella), I'm bad at communicating at the best of times, and I'm especially slow right now while I'm not even halfway through this packed itinerary through Scandinavia. So here's a short interim report on what I'm getting done and what I've seen.

I've gotten quite a bit of good video footage for you all in Scandinavia so far, including the first videos on my channel recorded in Norwegian and Swedish (I let the expert interviewee decide; I'll subtitle these of course). I also met four very cool Norwegian patrons at the Oslo meet-up and six at the Stockholm meetup, and I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you at the Reykjavík meetup as well (Café Babalú, Skólavörðustígur 22, Monday 29 August, 17:00--if that changes I'll post about it here). I still haven't heard if there's interest in a Helsinki meetup.

At every turn in Sweden I've been extremely generously hosted by the people behind Grimfrost, including most famously Amon Amarth's Johan Hegg. Of all the sights I've seen, to see the Rök runestone in person--with Henrik Williams there to confer with me on the reading of it line by line and present that for all of you in a forthcoming video--was no doubt the top.

It's all made possible by you, and again, I hope to have the chance to tell more of you thank you in person, on this trip or on another.

For now, from beautiful Stockholm, I'm wishing you all the best,

Jackson Crawford

P.S. My Patreon messages don't work. I don't get notifications for them, and there's nothing on my home page to show me when there is or isn't a message. I can't even always see them when I check for them manually, and you won't see it if I reply! The best ways to get in touch are: a) just to comment on posts like this, b) to post in the  Community page, or c) to email my assistant Stella at [admin AT JacksonWCrawford.com]--remember the 'W' between my first and last names in that domain name.

Thank you so much for the passionate work you do, so interesting. I am learning all the time. Erik (living 20 km away from the Järsberg stone in mid Sweden)
