First of all, Stella and I both enjoyed the chance to hang out with Patreon supporters and answer your questions back in January, so we're going to do it again next week. This one will be at a much later time than we usually have done them, 6:30 p.m. U.S. Mountain Time on Friday, April 30th (the registration link above ought to show you the time in your local time zone). We hope this will allow more people to come who haven't been able to attend before because of incompatible time zones or work hours. Please note that this time might be Saturday morning, May 1st, depending on your time zone.

I also have produced the first new Old Norse lesson since 2020: Comparison of Adjectives, and Adverbs. I'll create a supplemental rune lesson for it too, like I have with the older ones, but haven't had time just yet.

I hope everyone has a great week, and for now, thank you as always for your kindness and generous support.

All the best,

Jackson Crawford

P.S. Patreon messages don't work. It's unlikely that I can see any message you send or that you can see my reply to it if I do. Reliable ways of getting in touch are: 1 e-mailing at admin AT JacksonWCrawford.com (remember the W between my first and last names) or 2 posting on the public Community page.

Hi, that exercise on meir vs fleiri was pretty confusing for me... If the distinction in ON is the same as in modern scandinavian i think something might be off, or? (I would be more specific but im trying to avoid spoilers)

Now I'm confused - it seemed very similar to present day Swedish and Danish, I'm good with both these languages, except that (5) would usually be expressed differently. But my Norwegian is only good enough for understanding it, could Norwegian be different? Can you give a number from 1-6 (the number would not spoil very much I think)? https://ordnet.dk/ddo/ordbog?query=mere https://ordnet.dk/ddo/ordbog?query=fleste

I see, I had not looked close enough at what was actually written on that slide. It's me who is confused. I agree, it is strange that "large number" is once given as qualitative and once was quantitative. We should wait for Dr. Crawford to clear this up.

Haha you were probably the smart one, i was looking at the details so much i totally lost confidence. Didn't intend for it to turn into this whole discussion though. Btw thanks for the tip on those Neil Price-lectures on youtube, they were really interesting!
