Boulder Book Store just got a few more big boxes of my books in for me to sign. If you order any of my titles from them and just say that you'd like an autographed copy in the comments on your order, they do ship anywhere in the world.

This batch will probably run out like the last one did (pretty fast), but they plan to continue getting these shipments in regularly. So even if you don't receive one this month, ordering one as soon as you can helps show that the demand is there for making bigger orders in the future!

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and all the best,

Jackson Crawford

Oohh, I pre-ordered a non-signed copy... Hmm, which is better, do you think, pre-order to establish demand in advance, or waiting to get a signed copy so this shop knows...?

If I understand your question right, you actually can preorder signed copies from Boulder Book Store, but if they run out of this batch, you won't get it till they get another batch in for me to sign.

That much I got. But my other author friends (mostly fiction, admittedly) tell me that pre-orders and the first two weeks of sales are the most important for their livelihood overall. What I'm asking is, when you write a *new* book, can I pre-order a new book, signed, from this store, and thus get a signed book while encouraging your publisher to value your writing more? Or does non-fiction not work that way?

Oh that's an interesting thought. Well let's see--but the release date for book 4 (Saga of Hrólf Kraki + Saga of Hervor and Heidrek) hasn't even been firmed up yet.

Granted, I'm asking what the general rule is, not what to do for the next specific example. :) It's okay if you don't know. It won't hurt me to have two copies eventually. I'm sure I know enough Norse nerds I can give the unsigned copies to who will love them! XD

Alright. I don't know if I have a general "rule" I know or can articulate. But I'm always happy to see some support for Boulder Book Store; they're very good to me.
