I just discovered a podcast called "It's Not Only Football: Friday Night Lights and Beyond". It's hosted by Scott Porter (Jason Street), Zach Gilford (Matt Saracen) and Mae Whitman. It's awesome to hear them discuss the episodes Beyond the football aspect. They've had other cast mates on too.

Such a great show. So I used to do some work in reality television, and through that got invited to join a Fantasy Football league about 7-8 years ago. The set up was basically like 'fans vs celebs' with one division being ordinary people and the other half being celebrities including reality tv personalities, media personalities, former nfl players etc. For the first 3-4 years I was in the league, Scott Porter who plays Jason Street was part of the league. I was excited as a big fan of both Friday Night Lights and Hart of Dixie. He was always so nice when I got to communicate with him. Unfortunately IDK why he left the league but one year I joined back in and he was replaced with someone else. I wish he had stuck around though.

I always liked the way it was shot as well, it is one of my favorite things about it. It gives it more authenticity and it also makes it feel real af! I love it! I lowkey want you to keep rewatching it. Nobody else talks about this show and it makes me so mad because IT IS ICONIC!
