Another great episode. And you’re right - a lot of the stuff in the jail was sad. The mentally ill man was not really played for jokes, as much as it was a commentary. I think Donald Glover playing the “straight man” through all of the messed up stuff happening in jail was very effective, kind of like we’re supposed to be him. Even the way they dealt with the trans woman, albeit painful, felt very truthful to men in this situation. I’m going to continue requesting this show just because there’s so much ground we haven’t even covered. This show is quite experimental and influential for its time in terms of what “tv can do.” So when I say we’re just getting started, I really mean it!
