Oh man, if you are intrigued now, I cannot wait to see what you would think later on. I wanted to point out from the start Walter's moments of lucidity and anger as something to keep an eye out. He had a couple in the first episode and now one moment when he talked aggresively to Olivia. Most of the time he is very nice but he has these moments, and it is something to keep in mind for later. Peter's medical condition (Walter's words) is something to take note as well and keep it in the back of your mind, even if It may seem like it is just a write off, try to remember it later on, it might be important. Peter Mom is Mentioned briefly in the first episode when Peter said that when his father was institutionalised, he and his mother had a more peaceful home environment. Also, keep a close eye of the development of the relationship between Peter and Walter, let me know your thoughts. The actor playing Walter, John Noble is honestly one of the best actors I have ever seen, especially in a TV show. A few more fun facts this episode. Please take a quick look at my comment for the pilot, I put it down late so you might not have seen it (if you are interested, of course). -The men in the incubators on the very last scene: looked like the murderer from this episode (test tube baby) and the incubators had Massive Dynamic Logo. This heavily implies, that at least at some point, the doctor collaborated with William Bell's and Nina Sharp's company. So there are more of the same guy stored somewhere inside Massive Dynamic :) -In each previous episode, we get a clue (very small) about something that relates to the next episode. In the pilot there is a flyer opposite the Massive Dynamic building. The rebus it shows is of a pen and a rose, alluding to Dr. Claus Penrose (the father of the test tube dude in this episode). -Lastly, the cypher for this episode is CHILD (the images shown between transitions - look at the comment for my first episode for more info).

Also, please try not to skip the intro. I really think it sets the tone for the show and it could be important later :D

I was kinda disappointed too that he skipped the intro, they are interesting and lots of times important to the episode.

wow, this first season is looking actually better and less procedural than I remember. It's been a while since I rewatched it, and remember it being a bit more procedural than it actually is. Maybe it just seems that way compared to the rest of the seasons.

Primus

Yes, that is true. There is so much baseline being created in bits and pieces during the first season, that if put together, it makes for such a satisfying experience when all the pieces come together during the end of the season and subsequent seasons.

Yes, it's not that long; and don't assume it'll always be the same.
