Caroline needs to not butt into everything that doesn’t concern her

I hate to admit it. I really do. But, Stefan and Caroline were absolute nuisances this episode. Like, how did they figure that Elena’s sire bond is to blame for everything? It doesn’t make any sense. As Tyler said, sire bonds affect actions, not feelings. There is the excuse that a vamp to vamp sire bond works differently, but the thing is, Damon never told her to: sleep with him kiss him that she’s falling for him or feels something for him break up with Stefan She did all of that on her own. That’s free will. The logic just isn’t there and that’s what’s frustrating me. Stefan and Caroline are both acting like Damon orchestrated Elena falling in love with him. So annoying. I understand why they might be independently upset. Stefan is heartbroken and still in love with Elena and doesn’t think his brother is good enough for her. Caroline was a victim of Damon and somehow that never comes up in this episode. I would love if Caroline’s concern/disdain for Damon actually came from how she was literally abused by him and she had her consent taken away from her, so there could be a conversation about how the same thing is not happening here. That never comes up (which I honestly think is a writing flaw), and here, she just seems downright cruel. Elena should have brought up her thing with Klaus and see how she felt about that. Again, huge Delena fan, so I have a big bias, but I was completely with Elena this episode. Elena crapped on Damon before either because she hadn’t developed feelings for him and really did dislike him, or because she wanted to lie to herself about how she’s been feeling about him. Clearly, things have changed and going on the Damon hate train isn’t fun anymore, especially because Caroline’s constant attacks against him are rooted in the fact she’s disgusted that Elena could have feelings for him, that are possibly stronger than her love for Stefan. I could get why Elena did not like her snide comments.

I love when steven got mad and was like "YOU HATED HIM" to elena in the scene where she was pouting in front of bonnie and caroline. I was literally like BROOOO SHE'S F***IN SIRED. And then he's like "my bad she's sired, she sired" I busted out laughing so hard.

I can’t get one thing Stefan served in the WAR like a place where you’re bound to see blood everywhere and in that flashback scene Stefan just seen a little blood on his hands and somehow lost control and was asking Lexi for help how does that make sense? I still don’t get it. Stefan pissed me off this episode but at the end he made up for it. Thank god he at least accepted the fact that Damon loves Elena and he will do the right thing by her but I don’t agree on this freeing her rubbish- asking her to leave him it’s not fair to both of them and we are still forcing this on her how is this her choice? As the witch said a vampire has human feelings for her sire before being a vampire and it just magnifies after being a vampire. I won’t say the same for Caroline she has all the rights to be upset/ hate Damon considering her past with him. On the other hand, she has no idea about the good things Damon has done for Elena, Stefan Rose etc. so she doesn’t know about the good things he does she still sees him as this guy who abused her which I still don’t and cant blame Caroline for she is looking out for Elena which is totally understandable. I feel terrible for Damon when he realized about the sire bond It’s happening with elena once she drank from the blood bag the look on his face was so so sad. That end scene with them oh mahn I can’t watch these scenes without getting emotional it just breaks my heart. Also, Stefan saying stuff to Damon like Damon is not capable and has not done anything good? No selfless deeds. Like really Stefan? Just back in season 3 we see Damon turns Abby just so his brother isn’t blamed for it even though he could easily let Stefan turn abby but he does this for his brother and for him not to feel guilty for it. Damon always tried to get them together in season 2 season 3 damon telling elena Stefan didn’t screw us over, in season 2 damon telling elena he didn’t drink the ppl blood but he had to anyways I can go on and on. Damon has always tried to get them together even though he could have made things bad between Stefan and Elena but he didn’t. I just wonder as Damon said does Stefan know his brother at all?? Besides all this for me the show is all about the brothers relationship than anything else I loved the flashbacksof them Defan forever ❤ Loved watching Bonnie Elena and Caroline together dancing and having fun after so long.

Yall need to stop gunning at my girl caroline, she has only had bad experiences with damon, she has never seen his good side...on the other hand,stefan was there with her in tough times when she became a vampire.......so obviously she is gonna be on stefan's side on this one

I think people dont understand the reason caroline takes stefan's side. Caroline has only had bad experiences with damon, Us viewers know damon's GOOD side, most characters on the show don't, stefan was there with caroline in her toughest time when she became a vampire... She looks up to him,not only as a friend,but also as her savior...so it doesn't surprise me,that she is team stefan, I would be team stefan too if I were in her place.......we think caroline's wrong because we are watching the show from a 3rd person perspective, but try to think of this while being in her shoes

Exactly though I love Delena and Damon etc I totally understand why she’s acting the way she is and rightly said she doesn’t know the good Damon has done and she always has been loyal to Stefan and she is just looking out for her friend Elena. I was pissed at Stefan in the episode (not his conversation with Caroline at the end there) but Caroline no I totally understand her side in all of this so can’t actually blame her.

What I don't get is how people think Damon is going to be selfish about the sire bond with Elena. Every single time Elena and Stefan were in a bad place or having a fight Damon would be the one defending Stefan's actions, he could easily have used those moments to drive a wedge between them but instead, he would encourage Elena to trust Stefan. Over and over again Damon has shown that when it comes to Elena and his brother he can't be selfish. Also, Lexi's actions in this episode are SO weird, the only time she had met him before '42 was right after the brothers had turned and back then Damon was super restrained. Sure Stefan might have told her what happened but the only time Stef had met Damon again was in 1912 and at that time Damon was still super restrained having just met Sage. So her saying that Damon has never been "balanced and restrained" makes no sense.

Given how Damon took advantage of Caroline of course she’s going to think he’s doing the same to Elena. Or just generally think the worst of him. It’s not even a Stefan vs Damon thing. It just make sense for her to be supporting Stefan because of her experiences with him not being abusive. Saying this doesn’t mean Stefan is without flaws, it’s just in this situation this is her perspective. She’ll always at this moment look at Damon negatively and try to protect Elena from Damon because she felt unprotected. Whether it’s a real threat or not. When people say Caroline should see the good in Damon I think why? You’re basically saying she should see the good in her abuser...I feel people constantly make critiquing characters or even defending characters as a Delena vs Stelena thing. As someone that doesn’t care much about either Stelena or Delena that bothers me so much lmao! This whole ship war just puts a damper on the show for me. I ranted a bit here oops. But final note, there’s more complexity than these two ships.

@bryce reactor I completely understand why Caroline told her and why. Caroline didn’t think about telling Elena until she found out that Elena slept with Damon. The fact is that Caroline doesn’t know The good things he’s done for Elena or how he truly cares for her and that is Elenas fault cause she hid it and her feelings for him. If it were me and I wasn’t 100 percent sure my friend had the ability to consent to sex. I’d tell her. We all know Damon wouldn’t have slept with Elena if he knew but Caroline doesnt.

"YOU hated him" Ok, Elena hated Damon at one point, how is that relevant? She no longer hates him, in fact, she seems to be in love with him - is it that weird that she isn't enjoying people shittalking him when she's in a happy mood and wanted to share her happiness with her friends? Caroline liked Damon at one point. But that doesn't seem to be relevant. Stefan felt kinda needlessly aggressive at points, but apologizes after and understanding at the end. And Caroline can't keep a secret for the life of her and even kinda nudges Stefan about Damon sleeping with Elena 1 minute after Elena told her she will tell Stefan, but doesn't know how/when. And none of this gets any negative reaction, but not wanting your best friends shittalking someone you like/are in love with cus you hated them at some point in your life does.

My problem is that there is really nothing to take advantage of... The whole world knows Damon is in love with Elena. They also know that Elena has feelings for him. If Caroline and Stefan just found out about the sire bond, what sense does it make that Damon knows about it and has been manipulating her/using it to his advantage? This assumption is nonsensical, which is why I was annoyed with Caroline this episode. Although I do agree that the ship wars are pitiful and annoying, this circumstance is most certainly about Stefan vs. Damon. Elena broke up with Stefan to figure out her feelings for Damon. And because Stefan is characterized as the good brother and Damon the bad brother, Caroline is obviously rooting for Stefan, even though there is not much of anything going on with the Stelena relationship anymore. She's close friends with Stefan, and her disdain for Damon in this moment, has everything to do with her thinking Stefan is the better choice. She even brought up Stefan needlessly when they were in Damon's bathroom, comparing Stefan's Ripper self to Damon's promiscuity...
