Rewatching this I’m just now realizing just how strange it was for Elena to be wearing that pink dress at the Memorial/Funeral when just about everyone was wearing black or dark somber colors😂

This season boutta get real hot...every single episode has so much to offer,the hunter storyline,the council fire, everything connects perfectly......also that memorial scene is definitely a top 5 vampire diaries moment

Holyshit so rewatching TVD i'm just realizing how shitty they treat bonnie. The show barely acknowledged the serious grief that bonnie was going through. Holy hell how tf did I miss this in the first viewing

You’re right. Bonnie has been through so much and been such a warrior. She’s saved all of them and the way it is filmed like her pain and what she goes through doesn’t matter. If it was Elena for example. Bonnie is a boss and she really deserved more. ❤️

I agree that the love triangle/romance stuff is pretty overdone in the storyline but the one defense I will give it is that this show came out in late 2009, the Twilight movie series first came out a year prior, which had a pretty famous love triangle. The Hunger Games came out in 2012, which, if you see the pattern, had a love triangle. All very famous characters and couples that had fans fighting over sides & giving the movies and books more attention. I would imagine the writers saw an opportunity to capitalize on that and overdo it to an unnecessary level. As a teenager I never was as frustrated watching the lovey-dovery stuff as I am at 27. Every time there's a random romance moment I roll my eyes like this is NOT the time and place for this. I much prefer the action and the romance doesn't excite me, course I do still like Elena and Damon together but their relationship is not my favorite part of the show by a long shot. I think they were trying to target a specific demographic and that's what pushed other people away from watching it. This show has some pretty crazy storylines, action, plot twists. But the romance doesn't do it for a lot of people. So I'm glad there's people I wouldn't have expected to watch this show, give it a chance and end up really liking it.

I think you missed the part whr Damon wasn’t allowing anyone to sit next to him in the bar he reserved that seat for his best buddy Ric. When he said I’m just gonna pretend that there’s someone sitting here cause the alternative is too dam depressing that just broke my Delaric heart into a million pieces and definitely that ending scene between Ric and Damon is one of the best for me and ric telling Damon in the end I Miss you Too Buddy is just so sad but beautiful at the same time.
