Lassies gf played the titular 'Buffy' in the 1992 movie. It's movie Buffy!

Her brother stole the names of people who were O- and she was going to help him. Lassie was their first mark but she couldn't go through with it, and she stuck around to watch him. Her brother found one of the others instead and attacked them, but took too much blood and killed them by mistake.

Absolutely love this episode, it’s one of my ‘most re-watched’ ones. I love all their Halloween episodes but this one just really has something special. Marlowe is an excellent addition to the cast and Lassie’s character really starts evolving. And yeah the freeze frames are an ode to vampire movies - usually in their Halloween or themed episodes you can see the stylistic approaches to whatever they’re parodying.

The ending of this episode always makes me tear up. Such a beautiful thing, the love story, the music, the way the camera panned out, the fireworks...that it all happened to LASSIE of all people was just the icing on the cake.
