AAAAHHH! i let out a fangirl squeal when i saw this on my notification! So glad you're doing this 😭 This show means alot to me. I was like you when I first started this, I'm a chicken when it comes to the paranormal ghostly haunted houses shit lmao but I was too curious and so intrigued to know what went on in the house with stuff like the bent neck lady, the red room and whatever happened to their mum. And I assure you, you'll end up loving this as much as I did. It's scary, yes. But it's mostly centered more to the family drama and what they went through. Great reaction Steven! See you next episode hopefully!

Ghost Mom

Each episode after this shifts to focus on one character per episode so it becomes easier to follow when it jumps. I agree first episode is tough to follow and it bugged me too, that said, I hate horror shows, I hate anything scary but I love this show and its un-related antholy sequel bly manor. I'm glad despite hating scary stuff you appreciated it and I hope to see you continue with it because its so worth it.

This is a very good show and I hope you continue it and go on to do the second season, The Haunting of Bly Manor. They're both extremely well told stories with fantastic characters. You did see Theo as a kid very briefly in the first few minutes of the episode. She was the one who came out of her room and talked to Steven while he was on his way to Nell and Luke's room to see why she was crying. Adult Steven you might recognize from Game of Thrones. He played Daario Naharis, the dude who was so in love with and sleeping with Daenerys. She left him behind in Mereen when she went to Westeros. I know you were suffering through this but I have to say after watching so many of your reactions for a good while, this is probably the most entertaining one. *lol*

Okay I'm pretty sure you'll love the rest of the show, all the episodes are 9-10 for me. I feel like the timelines were slightly confusing only in this first episode, and I don't think it takes away from the episode. This show is a bit of a puzzle and you're supposed to piece it together episode by episode.

It was really entertaining to see you squirm in your chair, but I admit I was a bit like that too on the first viewing. This show is an expert at making you jump when there's actually nothing scary going on.

Forgot to say that it was smart to dim the lights. It adds to the viewing experience and also, makes it easier to spot certain things in the show :)

it's a good show but it's also genuinely creepy so if you get spooked easily you might struggle through the series lol.

I hope you continue with the rest of the season since its only 1 season. Its really well done. I am like you not a fan of ghost or haunted house horror but when I saw the trailer it looked too good not to watch.

I really hope you continue with the series. You are following the stories really well and you seem to be understanding that not everything is a ghost like the Dad was dreaming and in that lady's house their was a rational explanation. I've watched other reactors who just like thought everything was a ghost and that the characters are just in denial or something. You on the other hand, are asking all the right questions.

I really really hope you continue this show. I also don't typically enjoy horror/scary shows but this show is so much more than that. The mystery of the house and the family is told in such a great way. The jumping around can be confusing in the first episode but once you get a feel for the characters, it's much easier to follow. The show is more of a family drama than anything else and that family drama story is done masterfully. The little bits of jumps and horror kind of add to the fun and atmosphere but it’s all about the family

Really fun reaction, the show is pretty solid. I wouldn't say it's spectacular or anything but it's definitely more of a character drama more than it is a horror show. It's like what Battlestar Galactica is to sci-fi; it has those elements but it's framed around people and the human struggle within

I too was confused about how many kids there were at first. I had to rewind the show more than once to realize that the girl at the very beginning was Theo (the one Steven told to go back to bed) and the one who sleep talks "Pandas don't eat macaroni" was Shirley and those were two different characters. Great reaction!

Are you honestly that much of a scaredy cat? Wow, pure gold. I did not find this show hard to follow at all, them in the house as kids and them now, doesn’t matter if the flashbacks are in order, they pertain to what’s on or correlate with a character, something said or shown as adult. . asking so many questions on a first episode, you can’t expect to know everything in one episode, patience . I love this adaption of Hill House, I hope you continue with this series,seriously and wish you wouldn’t doubt your patrons. If you do continue Hope people keep their mouths zipped and don’t spoil anything for you. Please please continue watching, this was a great reaction
