The Clerics probably found them. Locator spell or something.

The new Buffy series is going to be a spin off, not a remake just fyi. It’s going to be based in the same world with a different slayer. It was shelved again though, even before the pandemic started. Or at least I assume. Monica Owusu-Breen was developing it, even working with Joss.. She is the one who personally clarified that Buffy would not be a remake. That she is a big fan of the original show and wants to keep the universe in tact. But there hasn’t been any word since 2019. And I think Monica just became the new show runner of Stumptown, too. So yeah, it’s pretty strange we were never given an update.

I hate the Knights. The medieval aesthetic annoys me and they are very one not. Would have been better to completely cut them or if they really wanted people coming after the key made it the Watcher's Council. They had no problem putting Buffy in danger and would totally kill a Dawn if it meant saving the world. Plus we actually know and care about them as an organization.

I always assumed they had people watching Buffy, it would make sense as they’ve known from when we meet them that Buffy was protecting the key. But, as Thom Purdy said, a locator spell is another option 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a very important episode. This is the episode where Steven carried on the long honored tradition of pretending to be every band member of Nerf Herder during the theme song intro. Steven was all of us in that moment.

I think it's in the original shooting script that there's a line Buffy says to the general, after the general says that the monks paid with their blood, and Buffy says "You killed them all." So basically the Knights killed the Monks, the last of which hid the Key in Dawn, they then get killed by Glory. The knights then go after Buffy because they knew that the Monks sent the Key to her. Then start following her, learn the Key's in human form in this episode.

I've always felt that the knights were the weakest part of what would have been a perfect season for me. We get no substantial back story on them, they don't really have any impact on the story until this episode and then they're slaughtered. And I always wondered why do they still talk and fight like they're auditioning for dinner theater at medieval times...

Knights found Buffy through their magic. Why none of them had a weapon invented withing the last 200 years, like a rifle, we'll never know.

Damn, to me the stakes have never felt higher in this show (up to this point) than in this moment. I was so stressed out this whole episode, lol.

It’s been established before this episode that the information about Glory couldn’t be found in a book. The Watcher Council with all their resources were only able to tell that she is a god. So that’s the purpose of the knights. I agree that they are a little but too outrageous, but I liked the chase and the fight scene atop the Winnebago. As for Buffy going to Angel for help? It would completely destroy the premise of the show. Angel is not Buffy knight in shining armor.

Primus

Hahaha Bellick is in this episode, I completely forgot, and he looks exactly the same xD

quick comment on something you said. the knights are not the "bad guys". their purpose is to destroy the key (regardless of what form its in) because it's a weapon that can open the gates to hell. if the key weren't buffy's sister...the scoobies would probably be trying to find a way to destroy it too.

Wow, yeah if the Watcher's Council attacked in this episode instead that would've been an amazing storyline.
