Yeah, Idris Elba is definitely playing an antagonist. He's very abrupt, strict, and they are not good qualities, both in a person or a manager. This episode it's very pivotal for the rest of the show. Can't wait to see you react to what happens next...

Yeah, you could just tell that Pam was realizing how little her job actually meant to her. She spent 4+ hours just learning how to set up the printer, just to have people brush it off like it was no big deal. They did a good job of giving hints that she was thinking of changing things up. And I think Charles is just much more Corporate minded than this branch is. He's used to people just showing up and doing their jobs, but that's not really how this branch rolls. Haha. Plus he's never liked Jim, so to see him wasting time by talking to Michael who was about to leave made him upset.

mm I don't know. I think Charles is (in my opinion) meant to represent everything that is wrong with corporate (the concept). I mean I work in a corporate office and the CEO works on the same floor as the regular folks and he is very approachable. Plus the grudge against Jim bothered me, I mean the first day, yes, but after that it is ridiculous what happens. Also because it's not a personal thing (Jim didn't do anything to offend Charles personally) which is why I find it over the top.

I like how Steven really can't see why Charles wouldn't want to promote someone from within--have you seen the clown show that is Dunder Mifflin Scranton? Who could run the branch, Jim? Charles hates Jim and sees him for the clown that he is. Dwight? Everyone hates Dwight and it wouldn't work for longer than an episode. Who else? I'll wait for Steven's suggestions because there are none lol

This is such a good storyline, one of my favorites! cant wait to see you watch the next couple episides . and the show does NOT go bad after steve carrell leaves, the seasons after have some of my favorite characters and episodes.
