Ik it looks funny in the beginning but it’s just to show how fast they were running.

they used blue screen instead of green screen so all the "cgi" looks awful in this episode. I think it was to do with the producers or the camera men hating green or something haha.

It's an MTV show so I guess it's a budget issue. MTV needed the funds for Jersey Shore probably! :)

I have to say that I am enjoying this season a lot, it is really dynamic and even those who prefer 3B cannot take away how very good part A is. I think that some questions that we asked ourselves about certain characters will have answers, we discover the alpha pack, obviously the leader seems to fear something coming from Scott and the young woman to indicate Scott as being an alpha or at least in the process of becoming . I like the new characters, it gives a revival to the show. I can't wait to see the rest ...

Lol if I’m not mistaken this season doesn’t have that much CGI "well not to this capacity" but I definitely agree with you especially rewatching the earlier seasons because the later seasons they definitely clean it up a bit (it’s not perfect) but you can tell that a little more effort has been made

This was such a great season premier opening! It was totally chock full of horror elements. The bird scene was the scene that freaked me out the most. Makes sense that animals would be the first to know that something is up. Their senses are better than ours is. I think this is the first episode that I actually enjoyed all the Allison scenes in. I was shocked! Scott also seemed much better in this episode as well. In my opinion, both characters are better when they are apart then when they are together. Dealing with the Alpha pack is definitely not going to be easy. There are a ton of them. I loved the scenes between Scott and Derek. You could tell that Derek did not want to tell Scott the truth because he wanted to protect him and that Scott wanted to know the truth so that he can help Derek. They have really good chemistry together. They act like brothers. Stiles is still Stiles and completely awesome. Lydia is fast becoming one of my favorite characters. Can't wait for the next episode!

Just commenting on Jackson's absence (which is funny since there's a movie called "American Werewolf in London"), the actor who played Jackson wanted to leave the show, which is unfortunate because there's a plot in a future season that was rumored to be his and I would've liked to seen that play out how it was originally planned. Also, the actress who plays Braeden is in that new Batwoman DC show. Season 3a is just as amazing as 3b, but you'll see why 3b is *thee* stand out season when you/we get there. A lot of great episodes in both halves and the level of acting from all the characters just continue to go up from here! To me, 3a is where the show jumps into more darker elements of the supernatural world (while also remembering it's an MTV teen drama lol), especially in comparison to the first two seasons, and that darkness continues throughout the series. Really glad you're enjoying the ride so far!
