Kristin Kreuk was 20 at the time so not that young. Too bad you couldn't enjoy the scene more, the funny way about it. I feel like you looked at it with a critic eyes which is why you give it a 7 while most people would give it a high 8-9 (especially for season 1 quality so far).

Cadmus is a lab in the comics.

I also believe the Johnathan almost dying from the flower is kinda like a story from way back in day maybe like the 50's I believe where Clark's parents died from some disease or something which is just one version of it the most common at least recently for Johnathan was like in the 70's Superman which I'm not saying in case of spoilers. So it was maybe a reference to that. Sometimes they will draw on stuff from the comics etc and do their own spin on it.

Teenagers having sex isn't exactly breaking news. Considering your show lineup is heavy with teen dramas, I'm shocked this seemed awkward to you. I don't watch all those reactions so now I'm wondering if you're like that when all the sex that happens in shit like Vampire Diaries and early Buffy LOL

This episode was awesome. Loved seeing Lex and the Doctor going back and forth. Mainly cause Lex would've felt responsible had Jonathan died. Since he funded the research that brought that flower back in the first place.

The sexualization of characters that are supposed to be 15yo is not unique to this show. It is everywhere and it is gross. I wish shows would stop doing it

Daniel R

There's hardly any sex in the Vampire Diaries lol just an action packed vampire show contrary to its name which does it no favors.

Daniel R

It doesn't even stop there. You know how in some kids movies they'll "sexualize" animals like dogs, like how the female-dog would always be a "poodle" with pink bows and ribbons, all slender and such. Why do we feel the need to know that a dog is a female or a male?

You told us you were sick a couple of days ago and now coincidentally I came down with a stomach bug and boy I'm struggling but I'll say these reactions are really helping pass the time. I hope you feel better man

"Who takes a 3 hour nap in the middle of the afternoon?" Yeah... who does that... 😅😅

This wasn't my favorite episode of the season. I know episodes where characters have some kind of catalyst that lowers their inhibitions is a standard TV trope, but it always seems awkward and a bit predictable. I kinda feel like it's a bit of writer's cheat. Cadmus Labs is part of DC Comics, it's a nice little easter egg.

Indeed, it also plays a primary role in the Young Justice animated show. Also, on Smallville, it was the company that Lex made look good on paper so Sir Harry and his daughter would sink their money into in an attempt to take over LuthorCorp (episode arc from Rogue to Leech)

In season 1... Kristen, Allison and Sam had been 18/19 playing 15/16 yr olds while Tom was 24 playing a 14/15b yr old and Michael was 28/29 playing a 21 yr old.
