Thank you for the reaction. This episode is so awesome. Regarding the main question of what was in it for Claire is what makes this episode brilliant. Like the Nautilus, Samaritan was looking for empty shells (people who had nothing to lose) who will solve this puzzle game as a means to psychologically model them in order to do anything it asked. That's why I am giving this episode top marks. Also Samaritan has made the recruiting tool useful for itself as well in order to cancel any project of A.I. building. Remember at the beginning of the season that reported said that all A.I. projects have been cancelled. Samaritan is taking out the competition while also recruiting human agents for fieldwork. The explanation for Sameen's cover it's so brilliant in its simplicity that I couldn't help but laugh in satisfaction whenever I hear it. Criminals are common. Every city has them. This is a cover as close to what Sameen used to do as possible. And one that she would enjoy as long as she doesn't draw attention to herself. Regarding Root, her cover situation has not been properly explained yet, so please no spoilers. So don't worry if you don't understand what she does just yet. All will be explained. Regarding the easy solution, I know why it doesn't bother you. That's because the main problem is the existence of Samaritan. And all the other problems like finding a safe way to communicate or Finch not trusting the machine anymore is stemmed from that bigger problem. So what is happening is that the team finds small solutions in order to survive better and to start fighting back. Plus the Harold indecision started back in season 3 episode 20 so the solution definitely didn't come quick.

"Samaritan was looking for empty shells" I hadn't connected the title to that but its so true.

It's pretty easy actually. Everytime thes a triangle it's Samaritan watching. Everytime you see a circle or a square it's the machine. Like Finch, Root, Shaw and Reese all have a yellow square and Fusco has a white one because he doesn't know about the machine. And Samaritan's observation looks very different than the machine.

I really love the choice of music, it felt like tragic hero's journey coming to an end. Portishead - Raods
