I’m assuming Lori hooked up with Shane because she needed a man to look out for her and her young son not because she had the hots for him. I’m giving Shane the benefit of the doubt: he assumed Rick probably was dead. The women were upset with Shane beating the hell out of Ed only because Shane, angry over the situation with Lori, took it too far. It was way more than a simple ass-beating.

The first time I watched this I didn't like Lori but watching it back I could understand why she did what she did.

#2 favorite... Darrell. #4 Carrol. The only thing I liked about Shane all this time was him beating the crap outta Ed. The only thing I've ever liked about Andrea was talking crap to Ed. I just hate Louri. It's only months later and she hooked up with Shane... that is so not enough time to fill that void of LOOSING her husband.

In case of an emergency (like you ran out of drinking water) you boil water to destroy bacteria and pathogens that could be present, it won't kill chemicals or anything but it'll make pond/lake water drinkable
