Lincoln wouldn't leave without his brother..and Michael has the plan for everything so Lincoln would need him anyway. Veronica the lawyer did make some mistakes, but the execution is coming up and I think everyone is kind of scrambling right now to try and stop it..but yeah meeting in public would have been better. and I get why the agent didn't kill his partner immediately they have a history and he was always the one trying not to just kill people.

I think the guy with the wife acted normally, he didnt wanna kill his friend and he just wanted to talk it out with him, he didnt expect for him to know, because lawyer lady talked on tv, so i would say the mistake was from lawyer lady that tied up to everything else.
