Okay, I've watched it now. I'm surprised you rated it so low. I'm not so keen on witches either, but they weren't the important part of the programme (although I did like the 'good' witch and the hex bag stuff). There was all sorts of lore and plot development stuff here. We learned that there are some powerful demons out there, that witches get their power by (probably unknowingly) selling their souls to demons, that all demons (including Ruby, who was once a witch) were once human and that, therefore, that is what is going to happen to Dean unless they manage to save him. Dean and Ruby scenes are priceless. I like this mix of fun and seriousness. I think Ruby perhaps just gets on some people's nerves. Or maybe they don't like the actress? Personally, I'm not a big fan of Katie Cassidy but I prefer her here to how she was in Arrow. Others love her, so you're not alone.

Thanx for working so hard this is really fun episode IMO hope you liked it, it gives a little bit of 1987's "Witches of Eastwick" vibe and I'd highly recommend this movie if you've never it bc then you are missing out bc you have Cher, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeifer & the always amazing Jack Nicholson!🔮👹🎬👍

i also didnt like ruby actress as laurel in arrow, actually hated that character, but i love her as ruby

The best things about this episode are Sam seems to show a shift in his approach to the job. And Dean meets Ruby for the first time. I like the witch idea we haven't seen them before. Dean being grossed out by them is funny. "Always spewing their bodily fluids" Now as for Ruby I just don't know what to make of her yet. I've never seen a helpful demon before, but she does keep saving them. The Tammy demon said Ruby escaped hell when the gate was open. That is the first time I heard that
