Great reaction. I thought you would like this one more than the last two. They were both kind of weak episodes. I was sorry to see Grodon go, he was a great villain. Also Sam picked up some thing that looked like burlap rags and held the razor wire with that, so that's why he didn't get cut.

Toasted Toad

I don't think Sam would have been safe against vampire blood. His blood was contaminated by the demon, so had effect against demonic things (like Croatoan virus), but a vampire isn't a demon, it's some kind of monster. If vampire blood got into Sam's mouth, he would have been in trouble. So we have to assume that it didn't. And as far as we've seen so far, it needs to get in via mouth or an open wound. I suspect that if we closely examine vampire fights, we might find what should have amounted to blood infection somewhere along the line!

Lostmyshoe22

I think the vampire in the beginning looked familiar because she plays Harmony on Buffy

This was a really good episode and I enjoyed your reaction to it too. So, thank you very much! At last... Gordon Walker is dead. :) And what a great dark way to kill him off. What a cool moment for Sam, as he kills Gordon with his bare hands, using barbed wire to rip off his head. Yikes! My favorite moment though was the moment between Sam and Dean as Sam convinces Dean to stop acting like a dead man. It's about time too, because I was getting so sick and tired of Dean's attitude. Overall... this episode is easily one of my favorites of this season. So, thank you! I look forward to more.

2021-07-08 21:08:35 I’ve never thought about Gordon & Sam’s blood mixing before! Great catch! || I believe I remember reading or hearing in an interview that TPTB wanted to use Sterling way more, but he was doing another show and they had “first dibs” on him. He was a GREAT villain and having him go out after turning into the thing he hated the most was truly poetic justice. I don’t believe that Dixon expected Gordon to join his side after being turned, I think he just thought turning him was the best/worst thing he could do to torture him. || You are just too good at seeing where the story is going before it happens. || I’m glad you liked the episode. It’s a really good one for sure. The scene in the motel room where Sam asks Dean to just be his brother again is particularly strong, as is the one fixing the Impala. These two guys are so good together that it almost doesn’t matter about the rest of the script as long as we get a few ‘broments’ with them. || see you next time. Get some rest! And some orange juice. 😉🤓

I also really liked this episode. Had a lot of good parts to it. The one thing that bugged me when I first saw it was how easy it seemed to be turned. That seemed too easy to me and a weak point in the lore they made for vampires for the show. Just one drop of vampire blood in your mouth, or in a wound and you are turned? Why isn't everyone a vampire by now then? You'd think a vamp could spike whole shipments of drinks with vamp blood and turn a whole town into vampires. Just a thing that bugged me. And like you said, Sam really could have gotten infected with Gordon's blood. He had to have cut his hands, and Gordon was bleeding. Should have mixed. I think it was just an oversight for the show, that maybe the end result wasn't how the writer planned it. Or the writer didn't think of that issue and no one else did during filming. They do not always follow a story the way you think they would. Dont' know why. Some say it's due to not enough time or money. I think also, there's no room for that story part in what they have planned. Or the actor's availability.
