WOWEEEE IM SO HAPPY TO BE WORKING ON THESE BOYS FULL FORCE!!!!!

Today we worked on the under piece. It's kind of like a corset? It's main purpose is structure. It zips up the front and laces up the back.

The first thing I started my day with was making the last little alterations I needed for it to fit me perfectly. After taking in the side back side seems an 8th of an inch which took a total of a half inch out of the waist I was ready to move onto the boning.

@Toriander_c introduced me to this incredible sew-in boning called Ridgeline boning. You sew it directly to the seam without having to make any channels. You just have to be super careful to only sew on the very edge. After sewing in the boning to the straight bits of the seams, I moved onto the binding.

We decided to use some cure printed cottons for the bindings even though no one will ever see them. We serged one edge of the cotton strip, sewed it raw edge to raw edge, serged those edges for some extra bulk, folded the binding over, and top stitched in alone the seam to secure it.

To finish off the day, we added separating Zippers to the front. We added a flap to hide the zipper so it isn't visible at all through the outside layer of the bodice.

Before closing up shop for the night, we started printing our crowns. We're using stl files bought from konartcraft's etsy store.

That's all for today! Tomorrow we're waking up bright and early to put the grommets in the back so it can lace up and begin patterning the puff pants!
