Part of what makes Gorou such a complicated and difficult boy his gratuitous amount of layered accessories. I didn't think it was possible to have so many things tied around a waist and yet here we are (and I'm still missing the white wrappings of his undergarments)

First, I had to make his ropes. To Do this, I made tubes of fabric, turned them right side out with a tool called a fast turn, pulled cotton piping filler cord through using the tool, and then sewed off the ends. I twisted the ropes arouses each other and sewed the ends together to hold the twist.

To add the little red cord bits, I used tape to keep the cord from unraveling and hot glued the ends of the cord then hand sewed them onto the foam piece.

On the bottom of one of the ropes is a crescent moon. I used a 3d print I bought as part of the Dangerous Ladies Gorou kit. I sanded the print, sprayed it with filler primer, buffed that, sprayed it with rustoleum laquer primer, and then painted it with Montana champagne metallic paint and glued the pieces together. The V shaped piece at the top and the 4 point star pieces were parts of the Gorou kit I painted and adhered with contact cement.

To make the armor bits, I did the usual and layered varying thicknesses of pvc craft foam then coated both the froam and stretch pleather with contact cement to dry-adhere them together. By waiting until both the fabric and foam are completely dry, you are about to press the leather into all the corners, creases, and grooves.

To make the little red cord bits, I taped off the ends si they wouldn't unravel, cut through the tape, and hot glued the tips while they were still taped together. I then hand sewed them onto the foam piece.

The back piece is solid on Gorou's 3d model with his tail magically phasing through it, but I cut mine to fit snugly around the underside of his tail. This piece won't really be visible but I made it anyway....

The little hip pieces were made the same was using foam, pleather, and contact cement. I'm using rare earth Magnets that I glued on with e6000 to hold the front and back plates to the costume. The hipe pieces slide into the pants and are held in place between my skin and all of the layers.

Surprisingly, something that caused me a lot of trouble was the tassels. It was impossible to find Maroon and white striped tassels so I had to search the internet for matching white and Maroon tassel to glue together and stuff into a cap to make a lager tassel.

I think that's pretty much all of it! I'll have the patterns for the armor pieces online hopefully very soon! As always, if you have any questions please let me know in the comments below
