I finally finally FINALLLLYYYY started my cosplay of Breath of the Wild link in my favorite armor set to put on him (trousers of the hero, climbing gear dyed green, cap of time)

I started with the shorts because it seemed like an easy way to dive in. I wanted to make shorts without a seam in the front because, let's just be honest, camel toe when cosplaying a male character isn't my FAVORITE look and that's pretty hard to avoid with skin tight shorts that have a front seam. Luckily for me, my roommate Tori had a really old legging pattern that had a back seam but no front seam, so I used that as a base to make a shorts pattern the same way. It took a little fiddling to make fit right, but I'm pretty happy with the results! Suprisingly, I had to keep shortening them because I kept underestimating how short the trousers of the wild are (Thank you, Nintendo).
