Process:

First I made a band of fabric the size of my waist that hooked together. Then I cut out 7 pieces of ribbon and sewed them to the band evenly spread out. I measured out how big I wanted the hoops, taped the boning into hoops, and started pinning the hoops to the ribbon. I spent a while playing around with the circumference of the hoops and the distance between hoops until I foundfound a silhouette I was happy with. I sewed the hoops to the ribbon, cut off the excess, and the hook skirt was done!

I decided to addadd an ild petticoat to the hoop skirt. I shortened it to the length of the hoop skirt, sewed it to the top, gathered the bottom to give it a dome shape like the hoop skirt, and seccured it to the bottom hoop every few inched with needle and thread.
