We have another two-part episode! I really like the two part episodes. As much as it is frustrating to have the episode end just when it's SO getting good, I love that the writers can give more time to the story and they aren't just rushing to get through to the end of the episode. They must care about the story and the characters and really want them to devote time and love to each episode. It's wonderful!

I really liked this one! It was fun seeing the Cybermen and I recognised them immediately from being in the display cases way back when we met the Dalek with the 9th Doctor. I said "Tardis" instead of "Dalek" due to excitement so hopefully that is forgivable 🤣

I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far 💜😊

Hey so late comment but I don’t think Rose was being particularly bad here? All she did was laugh at the Doctor and Mickey being stupid. She was already in a giddy mood it made sense why she found the situation funny. She clearly still cares about him, and even later expresses how she takes him for granted. The way she full on hugged Ricky should be enough to show she does still care about him. Also her reaction to her parents is understandable as well. It may be easy to see the difference because we’re watching a show, but think of yourself in an alternate universe where people you know are there. You’d probably accidentally talk to them like you knew them. I know if I saw my dad in an alternate universe I would slip and act too casual around him. Overall I don’t really agree that Rose is acting selfish or wrong here. Her job is not to babysit Mickey and the only thing she did in this episode was laugh at one situation, and last episode they got along perfectly. The Doctor is more responsible for forgetting about Mickey but he doesn’t seem to get any of the flack, it’s mostly Rose who gets it, which isn’t really fair. Just my opinion lol. Also why is it a good thing that Mickey went to visit his grandma…but not Rose with her father? Mickey could’ve literally been in major trouble by doing what he did. Unlike Rose he never checked if he existed in this universe. So he easily could’ve walked in on another version of himself with his grandma. Same kind of behavior as Rose but again that’s different somehow? I’m just a little confused lol. Sorry to keep adding to this lol but she didn’t recognize the plastic Mickey in episode 1 because she was distracted with the doctor stuff and having her job literally blown up. She rightly starts crying when she figured out that wasn’t him and scolds the doctor for not caring about him. She only leaves when she finds out the tardis can time travel, meaning it wouldn’t be that long until she came back. She was only a year late again because the Doctor landed wrong.

Yeah, I may have been a little too harsh on Rose in this one! In the next episodes outro, I explained that I was a little too harsh and then gave some reasons for why what she did was valid. So I have changed my opinion a little there to one a lot more understanding. I still think that Mickey is treated poorly though, and made fun of on a regular basis!

The Cybermen are one of the Trio of classic villains. That's 2 down 1 to go. They've been my favourite as often as the Daleks and the other one(s) In Nu Who, this era they're literally the brain in a Robot body, I prefer the earlier frankenstein like ones, some were even seen being made which was a longer, in some ways more harrowing medical process. The designs change frequently however these Cybermen are not canonical Cybermen, the originals were a seperate race to humans, more details on that later so I'll shut up for now. :)
