HISTORY:

Pálmason didn't make the cut for Winter Brothers.

Pattinson previously placed 10th in the lead category for Cosmopolis (2012), 4th in the lead category for Good Time (2017), and 10th in Supporting for The Lost City of Z (also 2017). Everyone else is new.

The Dardennes' screenplays have landed at #12 (La Promesse, 1997), #16 (The Son, 2003), #17 (L'Enfant, 2006), #10 (Lorna's Silence, 2009), #18 (The Kid With a Bike, 2012), and most recently #2 (Two Days, One Night, 2014). So this is a particularly strong finish for Ahmed, given the general perception that it's one of their weaker films. Though the points are remarkably low (#8 last year was double that), so it may be just a relative thing.
