Hello everyone. Today you can play the next step in the development of Reborn App. Introducing Reborn App Refunded Edition. Either download via the attached file, or play online at https://thermifish.itch.io/reborn-app-refunded.

Jokes aside. This new version no longer uses twine, and instead uses Visual Novel Maker. Those following my other activities will have noticed I've been experimenting with it. While I know many of you will shudder with dread hearing that change, the game still uses novel style text. 

Sadly this version doesn't yet contain everything I've previously done, but it does contain some brand new content.

The art is also been redone. My poor drawings have been completely scrapped, not that anyone will be sad to see them go. The new art will be far more consistent, which was something I've always wanted to fix. 

I'll make a much longer post in the coming days explaining why made the changes, what my plan of action for future updates is, and also answering any other question I receive regarding the update.

Hello. When choosing game engine I wanted something with web browser support, and back then RenPy's didn't have that (Although now it has a beta version). The Football event will be added with the next update, bringing with it a few extra endings for that event. I'll also fix all the bugs you've mentioned :) I'll look into improving some of the presentation problems with the current engine, and if I can't then I'll look into making a switch to RenPy. Depends on how well RenPy's HTML 5 runs though. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for your efforts :)) Well in my opinion a web version is only worth it, when you can play it on mobile too. But at least for me itch.io didnt work on my smartphone.

Didn't have time to check this out til now. Just going through it now, but I wanted to point out that the log is really broken. Instead of properly listing all previous text in a scrollable screen it for some reason jumbles it all into one screen making it unreadable (at least in the first scene(s) after joe becomes the PoV character), combined with the lack of a back button and it's quite annoying. Also for that scene, you cant access the settings menu. For some reason right clicking acts as a left click and advances the text. Overall I'm happy with the change, though I do wish you had chosen pretty much any other VN creator as I've had nothing but bad experiences overall with this one and so far this game isn't breaking the trend.
