This may influence the choice of the games I will make in the future. I've got a mega list of stories and games, of all the types you can vote, I want to do in the future, even in long term.

Sometimes sex is the main topic/goal, and sometimes I'm more into the stories and don't even think about sex.

1: You're looking for a girlfriend/wife, the quest and acts all lead to more sexual/love content, or the MC wants to f*ck someone specific. Sexual tension and content happen quite often.
The sexual goal doesn't have to be explicitly said, but you can see it in the writing.
Confined with goddesses is an example.

2: Like your goal has nothing to do with sex, for example, saving someone, finding a secret gem, etc... And then your teammates could have private side quests where you could develop love and/or sex. An example could be Dragon age.
Sex happens less often, you learn to appreciate a character through a "normal" story and then in private.

3: A mix of both means that the main goal isn't the sex, however sex happens during the main quest, for example, you have to find the hidden gem, but during the quest, you have sex/love/sexual tension. Sex happens more often than 2 but less than 1.

Love or sex could be something wanted by the MC, but not at the "main goal" of the story and writing.

4: Alternative meaning sometimes a game focused on sex, sometimes not at all. As I'm gonna do many games.

----

OR, a simplified version:

1: 80% sex 20% story*

2: 20% sex 80% story*

3: 50% sex 50% story*

*Story, I mean story not directly involving sex/love/relationships

When I write sex, I include everything about sex, love, sexual tension, etc...

Yeah, sex is great, but a great plot cannot be ignored. It’s especially great when sex is a seamless byproduct of that plot… if that makes sense. Regardless, thanks for all your work.

A nice 50/50 is good, something to cum back to (hehe), but also an interesting story or characters, not just lust.

When it comes to eroge, I like to be mentally stimulated by a good story... before I get "stimulated" in other ways. Plus a replay feature for the times I just wanna fap. 😂

tough choice, id say smth between 1 and 3, most of the games im playing would fall into 3rd category. Like the "life" games neither sex nor seekening relationships is the maijn goal, in genral the are sandox, so it is the players choice to engage and seek multitude of sexual activities in them or not

50/50 is ideal. Occasionally, I don’t mind sex as the main topic/goal as the 20% story can hard carry if done right in my opinion. Or if the 80% sex happens to perfectly click with my fetish. Sex as a bonus in a 80/20 story-sex ratio is not what I’m looking for. I’m willing to give it a shot but the story/characters definitely have to be worth getting invested into.

The Omni Degenerate

Seeds of CHAOS/ravager/parasite black are all games that do the 50-50 model best and I find that’s the best model honestly . all three of those games have a plethora of both story and sex. I would say it’s either follow the model you’ve already been using or attempt to follow their model if you intend to make a more story rich game next time.

I would say the 3rd one because it 50 50 could go either way got to see what. Happens 3rd one for sure.

What category would Once in a Lifetime / or Eternum be in? Because that's totally my thing. I feel like there are two main goals: the main story and the harem quest

Too many ero-games need a lot of time of investment for reach for the sex scenes and these scenes generally are kind of underdeveloped to say the least. this can make the game that it's not worth to invest your time in it. Despite the story making a good impact on erotic scenes, the end goal should and must be the best possible sex scene you can come with as soon as possible. We almost never see erotic content on other games, so it's fair to expect way more of sex on games that propose it.

A good story is important and a story that can keep the tension high so when it gets to sex you’re ready for it instead of it just popping up out of no where cause in those situations I find I’m more interested in the story and just skim the sex to return to the story

A concern could be customer base. Customers looking for lewd games may not be satisfied if there isn't enough sex, while customers looking for SFW games could be turned away by sex. Trying to split the difference could conceivably lose, rather than please, both groups. It'll be a tricky thing to balance, and I wouldn't know how to do it. I'm trying to think of examples. Summertime Saga, Lewd Town Adventures, The Princess and the Tower, Space Rescue: Code Pink, Space Journey, and Proud Father all have non-sex quests, but they all ultimately serve to acquire more sex scenes. Ravager and Corrupted Kingdoms both have quests that don't lead directly to any sex, and those are pretty good. You've already got a really strong sense of character and story development, and that's vital. You make the player care about the characters, their fates, and their relationships. This is important. In Confined With Goddesses, you've given us a likeable MC the player can identify with, and supporting characters with clear and internally believable motivations. When those aspects are strong, platonic or waifu type interactions can be just as satisfying as the sex.

I like a mix of Both, I think CWG did a good job of balancing it, although I'm excited for more scenes (jacuzzi, tv, etc). That being said, I think on this side of Patreon, sex takes a bit of a priority as the goal.

Too much story can turn alot of potential players away, but without it the lewds can feel hollow and less impactful
