Between a piece on “the left’s” positions on Ukraine, the NYT’s coverage of the death of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, and Rebecca Traister’s new profile of Dianne Feinstein, the theme of today’s episode is “looking the truth in the face and ignoring the most obvious conclusion.”

I like to imagine milo turns his life around, marries marg, and becomes a true Jordan Peterson paternal figure, just sitting his son down and explaining the world, but by using anecdotes about doing cocaine and blowing dudes

Man, I thought the Feinstein article was pretty scathing. It never comes out and explicitly says "she's a doddering old mummy who needs to be recalled from office at a minimum," like some might prefer, but it certainly presents her in a light that would lead anyone with two brain cells to arrive at that conclusion on their own. Not sure how you could look at that article and think it's trying to somehow rehabilitate Feinstein's image

The Feinstein thing reminded me of how she was obsessed with the idea that Anne Kronenberg was going to show up to city hall in biker gear.

It sounded to me like you have to have been a terminal article head for a minute to really get the context lol, I gather the author has said dumb stuff about this type of thing in the past and does not grapple with that at all. No real recognition of 'how did we get here (and how did I help)' I guess?

I’m politely yet firmly asking that Felix refrain from using the term “hectoring” or I am going to cancel my subscription.

I hear you, but there is something I hate about people pretending they were never wrong, and just never reflecting on it having a lifetime gig in front of huge microphone. It just doesn’t have to be that way

The dodge here from you guys is always ‘who even reads the Grayzone!?’ despite the fact that you’ve endorsed those shitheads on this show.

At this point, anyone who doesnt immediately start the conversation on Ukraine with the US backed coup in 2014 and 8 years of shelling in eastern Ukraine isnt worth taking seriously

They have a small audience compared to others. Also no one has ever managed to refute their reporting.

@Matt yeah Bellingcat et al get paid by CIA fronts to disprove them with facts manufactured by the intelligence community all the time!

Yeah sorry, my family's Ukrainian. I want to give these people all they need to win. That's all I fucking care about right now. Because Putin needs to lose. I don't see what the fuck this has to do with zionism.

John

Yeah right because Russia had nothing to do with any of that.

it's about how supporting an end to the war and supporting the US giving billions in weapons are mutually exclusive

Well due to a lot of Ukrainian nationalists wanting their country to turn into i*rael of east Europe (which should be scary for my fellow brown people already treated like shit in that country). Ukranians wonder why they don’t get ally ship from brown people when you all never stood up for us when we were being killed at 100 times the rate you are.
