We do a triple duck hunt of three fat juicy New York Times op-ed shitheads. Then we read from the Book of Rod.

I listened to this while driving and nearly got in an accident from the full body laugh I did at the Hillary/Patty & Selma bit.

"I don't think I hate [Matt Yglasias] more than when he has a good tweet" greetings from the future, wherein Matt Yglasias and Peter fucking Daou are now doing pro-Bernie takes on the daily. it's as confusing as it sounds.

Love Will's energy toward the end.

Love the show. At a stop sign. The Rod D. Story was a god damned rollercoaster, emotionally.

This episode is anti-Promethium in the sense that you guys found that O.G fire, and anti-Obama in the way you straight up delivered. Love your work guys - hearing the 4 girth boys at work is always an absolute treat.

I bet Rod read the piece on Vance and saw Rothman as someone he could trust. With Rod, we read him and wonder "who hurt you?" Rothman found out and told us why, making the profile's sponginess, and maybe even the entire JD Vance piece, all worth it. So while I loved this episode I disagree that Rothman should have written more about Rod's horrible views. To get details like "who hurt you?" you need good access to the subject, and the next subject won't give good access if you made the last one look bad, rightfully or not.

Chris McCarthy

He could've have written about Rod's views more warmly and accurately, instead of calling them "exasperating". I mean, they are Rod's own words and views.

Chris McCarthy

I think an aside, "oh by the way, here's a link to a blog post written by Rod where he calls transpeople freaks. Draw your own conclusions."

The only type person who is impressed by Ross Douthat is Ezra Klein and his Vox clones
