Cannon Fodder Friday Premieres This Friday February 14th! (Patreon)

If you caught our Glass Cannon Network Breaking News back on January 13th, 2020, you'll know that we teased an exciting new Patreon reward that was in development for our subscribers at the $10 tier and up. Well, the time has come my friends. This Friday, February 14th will mark the first Cannon Fodder Friday - a weekly series of live streaming videos where we attempt to cover all of the happenings of that previous week across the many worlds of the Glass Cannon Network. Get a sense of what players and GMs were thinking as events unfolded, how we work together to craft stories, and of course the highs and lows of starting a small business in this new world of RPG entertainment. These streams will go live every Friday, even when we're on the road, and will be re-watchable on demand forever...forever...forever. At least, that's what they tell me.

Below is a brief overview of how these streams will work and what you should expect when we go live this Friday at 5PM ET:

Patreon provides this service for us through their partnership with Crowdcast. At some point before we go live on Friday, we will post the link to the stream here on Patreon just like any other Patreon post, but it will only be visible to those subscribers at the $10 tier or higher. Simply click on that link which will open a new tab in your browser to Crowdcast. Once there, you may be prompted to sign in again with your Patreon ID, at which point (assuming your Patreon account is at the correct tier and in good standing), you'll have access to the stream. Joining via mobile should work the same way: Android users should be able to view the stream directly through the browser on their phone and there is a Crowdcast app for iOS users.

Depending on how early the post for the stream goes up on Patreon, you can either visit the stream early and click "Save My Spot" (the spots are currently unlimited, so don't worry about that), or just join when the stream is under way. Once the live stream is over, it will automatically be archived on Crowdcast and available at the same URL as long as we continue to work with Crowdcast. That URL will also stay in our post history on Patreon forever, so as long as the link is active, you will be able to look up and view any previously streamed video as long as you are at the proper subscription level. Due to the security of the archived events provided by Crowdcast's platform, Cannon Fodder Friday will only be available as a video event with your Patreon sign-in and will not be released in an audio-only format due to the increased risk of piracy.

To all of our Patrons at the $10 tier and higher and to all of you that make the move up from The Champagne Room, we are so grateful to you for helping us continue to grow beyond our wildest dreams. This reward has had so many variations in our meetings over the last year as we worked to find the best way to get you the value you deserve, while also making sure we can deliver on our promises. That was a tough target to hit, but I think we've found it.
