and thus best girl finally makes her triumphant entrance in a rather memorable fashion. you guys can keep lucy, i don't care, i'll go with rebecca any day of the week. she's a real one. anyways, i think this is probably the only episode i can think of off the top of my head that could be accused of poor writing to some degree. after all, how likely is it that out of all the six million people living in the city, the group he gets jumped by just so happens to be the one his mom was a part of? how high's the chance of that actually happening? especially since they seem to be living in a megabuilding, which, according to lore, are big enough to count as a city in on themselves, whith roughly 8000 apartments per building and a max capacity of 128,000 tenants. there's at least a bit of suspension of disbelieve necessary to buy into that coincidence. then again, they were specifically looking for the sandevistan he took from his mom, so not really a coincidence after all. ehh... *shrug*.
