GaMetal - Id (Purpose) (Fire Emblem Awakening) (Patreon)

Well it's been here before actually. If you didn't know, I did touch on Together We Ride all the way back in 2009 in NES Medley #1, but those songs are kind of crappy so that one doesn't really count. xD

Fire Emblem has been a highly requested game series with numerous songs requested. Mostly Together We Ride, but you know, that one's really obvious, so we'll get to it sometime later. Id (Purpose) was among the more requested of the FE songs.

I went into this remix with a mindset of 'I'm going to keep this simple and not over-complicate things', but ironically it still ended up being a really complex arrangement.

For starters, the original version of this song is much longer than the version in Smash (which most people who haven't played FE:A are familiar with). There's a lot of changes from soft parts to louder parts to deal with. Also, I was originally not going to include the choir, but decided to give it a shot and I liked the way it sounded. Obviously I don't have access to an actual full choir so I used VOXOS (like I did in Star Wolf) and just used a lot of similar sounding syllables, so it's not an exact replica, but close enough to mostly capture the feel of the original.

So while this song was intended to end May, I really wanted a few more days with it cause I kept hearing ways I could make it sound better. This underwent a ton of changes since the first draft I came up with.

Now I feel like this remix has a lot of potential to go far. Let's see how it does!
