Ahoy all, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I'm excited to present the next installment in my Slatmarsh-inspired series: The Snapping Line Inn & Tavern.

This 2 level tavern built out of the hulls of many fishing ships will act as an iconic centerpiece for any coastal town you might be running. Within its creaking hulls, you'll find plenty of room to drink and swap tall tales of the high seas! I hope you don't mind the smell of fish because it's never been scrubbed out of the wall.

This map features three core maps:

  • 1st Floor interior, which contains the main drinking and bar area with plenty of storage space and a small kitchen where lobster is prepared. Here you will also find a small still used to make "Claw Wine," a spirit made from lobster meat and potatoes. Needless to say, it's an acquired taste...

  • 2nd Floor interior/exterior, which includes a center area for drinking leading up from the decks below. Here, you can enjoy a brew in any number of sitting areas, including two repurposed lifeboats resting above the bustling bar below. There are a total of 9 nautical-themed ship cabin rooms for overnight stays.

  • Roof level, which includes the drinking area above both sides of the sleeping cabins below.

Additionally, around the premises, you'll find it roped off with pillars salvaged from the dock area, giving it that nautical theme, as well as a small overturned fishing boat that's now used as a bard stage to entice fellow travelers to come drink within its pungent walls. Behind this stage is a painting depicting ships and sea monsters, and it's said that the best tall tale told each night will earn the storyteller a free round of drinks!

For my Champion Tier patrons, you get the following with this release:

  • 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, and Roof levels

  • 6 color moods, including: Dark Fairytale, Gloom, Ghostly, Night, Sunny Day & Warm

  • Weather effects including: sun rays, rain, and fog

  • A "No Light" variant for each color mood so you can set your own lighting

  • 8k & 4k image resolution

  • Jpg & Webp file types

  • Grid & NoGrid versions

  • VTT Sizing guide

The next location in the Saltmarsh series will be the Council Hall for all of your city council needs and, at rare times, the execution of a criminal (let's just hope it's not one of your players!)

On the CoS front, I'll be creating a V2.0 of Tser Falls at the end of the month, and I'm excited to revisit this iconic location.

Additionally, I still have both the Burgomaster's Manor and Blood of the Vine Tavern to finish up my re-works of the Village of Barovia.

Lastly, I'll continue my work on Winter's Grasp by creating snowy versions of several more maps, including the Village outskirts, River Ivlis Marshlands, and The Old Misty Road.

I'm really happy to be able to offer maps in the Dark Fantasy, Snowy, and Nautical themes and can't wait to expand that further in the future.

As always, THANK YOU for your continued support of my work! Much love to you all!

Cheers,

DM Andy

Are you by chance going to be creating a map for the entire region of Greyhawk?

DM_Andy

Like a larger overland map sort of how I did my parchment map of Barovia? I do have plans to create more parchment style maps from some of the larger scale areas from the Saltmarsh book and I can add the region of Greyhawk as well to that list for sure. I do greatly enjoy working on the parchment-style world maps!
