Get in. Love this episode. Edit: Also thanks the explaining what happened last week, it’s all good.

Daryl

When Tony is screaming for Dorothy down the phone, followed by the more muted Dorothy when she finally answers. It's the simple things that often work the best. There's something about the rule of three in comedy, as a standard formula. More or less is often considered less funny. It's more prevalent than ya might think.

Glad we got to see it. Just so you know, in case your streaming services also don't show it, Season 5 also has 7 episodes.

Great episode and reaction, Neil Morrissey stole the show in this one. Regarding what Josh said about certain show’s having missing episodes, it is happening more frequently nowadays unfortunately with certain jokes now being considered too offensive. I’m not sure what it was in the case of this episode, it’s really quite tame unless it provoked people to remove bad teeth themselves like Tony did 😂. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is now missing at least a dozen episodes, which is a shame because I’ve found that show just to silly to offend me personally. Then here in the UK entire shows no longer air, some that got removed such as The League of Gentlemen and Little Britain later reappeared with lots of edits. There are some jokes that do go too far in just trying to be offensive but for the most part they’re few and far between. Shows like the League and Little Britain, I don’t believe these shows were made with bad intentions, we’re supposed to just laugh at these stupid characters. Reece Sheersmith doing Tina Turner in the recent Psychoville was just ridiculous and hilarious to me but some people might have viewed it as offensive. I think you should be able to joke about anything, so as long as it’s well written and performed and made with good intentions, what a boring world it would be otherwise.

Loved the reaction. The tooth extraction scene has always been one of my favourite bits. Really good bit of solo acting by Morrisey. That's what I like about this show is that it gives the actors chance to shine in their little solo scenes. Great affect too, don't know how they made it so convincing. Love the panicky child like behaviour from Tony. Brilliant. Probably one of my favourite episodes. As for Gary and Dorothy, I think they are probably as bad as each other, always looking for something better, but also cannot part with each other. Gary has very few if any friends other than Tony, so trying to cling on to both his girlfriend and his best mate.

Dorothy's quip "... like Barbara Cartland (a famous romance novelist) going on a hang-gliding course" is extremely ironic and poorly chosen becuause Barbara Cartland was actually a noted pioneer of towed gliders in the 1930s as well as a novelist. I suspect the writers were unaware of this.
