i think at the end it was smiffy texting gav that he slept with nessa, then stacy texting nessa probably asking if she slept with smiffy. since it kinda looked like smiffy was already on his phone when nessa woke up

Smithy is absolutely correct in the not sharing your food order! Nothing worse than someone pinching half your food and you having to eat something you didn’t want

It’s not relevant what was exactly in the text. It’s just implied that smithy text gavin that he woke up next to nessa. Gavin shows Stacey the text, and she then texts nessa. Quite a neat way of showing the sequence until we get the reveal. (You can see smithy holding the phone implying he started the chain of text messages).

Yeah the rap smithy and Rudy did was Kanye west’s verse from the Estelle song American Boy, not sure how big that was over there. Smithy is absolutely right about the food lol also not a spoiler but Stacey being that way will make a lot more sense in the next couple of episodes

YES!!!!! You’re spot on. That’s exactly what the text is. Look closely and you’ll see Smithy has his phone in his hands when Nessa turns to see him in bed. He texts Gavin, who tells Stacey, who texts Nessa, who turns to see Smithy with his phone. My favourite G&S episode. Everything is incredible in this one, but I have always LOVED the bit where Dawn falls over. There’s something about watching your fave characters in shows being happily drunk that’s just so funny. Thanks for another great one Josh. Sending love to you guys, as always.x

What a fantastic episode. Sometimes they're a bit baggy, but this one was just excellent. I don't like either Gav or Stacey, and their romance kind of bores the shit out of me, but apart from them this episode had all the elements and characters that are good about this show. Smithy having a hissy fit, Nessa being magnificently cutting, Rob Brydon pushing the limits of acceptable uncledom with his faux-interview... I agree with Josh that Dave makes much more sense as a partner for Ness. Smithy and Ness can barely talk to each other, in reality they probably wouldn't do anything more than meet up occasionally to fuck.

Sorry I’m late to this one….don’t think anyone answered your question about Om Puri. He was a prolific Indian actor who starred in many Indian films but also some British and American films. Nessa referenced the British comedy/drama film East Is East in which Om was the lead role (a film that’s been on the polls but never won….it’s pretty good). Fun fact: Ruth Jones (Nessa) WAS actually in the film in a minor role…playing on of his son’s girlfriends friend (if I remember right)!
