Really glad that decided to give this show a proper go and decided to watch along,I do remember watching plenty of episodes when I was super young, but was not really paying attention. I have been pleasantly surprised how well written the first 3 episodes have been,it has started off a really enjoyable show

Just realised how similar Karl Pilkington is to Victor Meldrew, they could swap places easily😂

So glad you’re enjoying it! This is right up there as a favourite show of mine, along with others you are reacting to. I’ve got to say, that it gets better from Series 2 onwards. Series 1 definitely feels ‘Pilot’ compared to the others, so from then on I think it gets better and better. Can’t wait to keep watching along with you. Hope you guys are doing well over there 🧡 Sending love to you, Taylor and the furry ones!x

Richard M

It definitely gets continues to get better as it goes on.

Ash Jeffries

Haha, yeah, I mentioned that last week (or maybe the week before) but to be honest, like you, I only really made the link whilst watching it back on here with Josh - maybe because I've recently watched Karl Pilkington reactions on here! They are remarkably similar! :-D

It only gets better as it goes along as well. Superb series.

Didn't know where was appropriate to post this but do you recall David Amess the UK politician who was (admittedly quite comically) duped on the drugs episode of Brass Eye into believing that a large yellow drug pill called “cake” was being distributed in England (to the point of actually raising the point in parliament) ? Well sadly he was very publicly murdered today in his own constituency by a crazed member of the public, I'm unaware of the mans politics but none the less its been an incredibly sad news day here in the UK today for having learned of it. Just thought I’d give you the heads up regarding these events given how memorable and iconic that particular segment was on Brass Eye at the time. RIP Sir David Amess

Just FYI, but the Monster Raving Loony Party have been around for decades in the UK as a sort of joke party but they act as a protest vote. They put up candidates in many elections, often with insane promises and whacky gimmicks, but it's just to try and get away from the binary red/blue career politician dynamic. Helps to ruffle their feathers a bit and they usually gain a few votes here and there :)

Danny

Didn't they have Lord Buckethead representing them a few years ago? I think he did well to if i remember right.

politicians aye lol ,2 types ,the ones who gain popularity vote by lying just to get into power for a big pension fund and salary ,and the based

Steve King

It wasn't at a doctor's surgery, it was at his constituency surgery (which I think is a village hall). When politicians meet their constituents they call it a 'surgery'; it's got nothing to do with medicine, LOL

David Lyons

That kid is way too young to be watching Indiana Jones!

Quite a weak episode I thought. By no means bad but man, Josh has no idea how brilliant this series is going to become as it goes on. I'm excited to see his reaction to later episodes.

I don't believe it!!! The password for dailymotion don't work pal 😁

Sam Reeves

Can't wait for you to see 'One Foot in the Algarve' the movie-length special. It is hilarious. Funnier than 95% of Hollywood comedies.

Jay

Yeah, definitely the first weak episode. Agree that it does get much better later!

Tony Smyth

I'm doing me best to get into this. As always it obviously gets better as it continues, and I'm looking forward to the rest of it. I have ONE question... Is this the SAME Victor Meldrew I saw in Fr. Ted? Do you know what he'd love..? Only messing. I trust my fellow Patreons to guide me. You lot haven't done me wrong yet.

Austin Stratton

I don't know Tony.. What would he love? Whatever it is, I reckon you shout it really loud at him.
