Awesome Josh

Tony Smyth

I'm still finding it difficult to accept that he's gone. He made me cry so many times in the past, with laughter.... I cried 3 times today. I wasn't laughing. I didn't even know he was sick. I'm gonna miss him so much.

Sod him, I messaged the prick 3 times on Twitter but he still ain’t messaged me back the bastard 🙄🤣😩

I know it’s a genuine kick in the dick learning of his passing!! I’m ashamed to say I’ve only seen clips of his stand up stuff but loved him on the panel shows every single time… I think he would understand the (admittedly shit, but not in poor taste) humour I meant by my other comment here… I feel for his passing in a similar way that I did for Rik Mayall upon his demise; absolute legends, now and forevermore 🙏🙌

A nice touch Josh. I always found him just effortlessly funny and never really thought about what made him so funny. It’s only since he passed and hearing other comedians talk about him that they’ve generally said: With most comedians you can usually see where they’re going with a joke, they set it up then deliver the punchline. With Sean you just wouldn’t know where he’s going with it, he was so unpredictable. He’d set up a joke but the set up would be so hilarious in itself it wouldn’t even need a good punchline. He really is up there with the best of all time.

Over the past couple of years I could tell he wasn't well, in this the last clip which was around 2 years ago you could hear his voice had definitely gotten weaker, didn't realise just how unwell, came as a real shock.

daniel venables

His sitcom called 15 stories high is on youtube its really funny

Ryan Lynch

It was unexpected. Maybe folk could tell he was ill but I have a bad habit of watching the same clips on Youtube over and over, from QI, 8 out of 10 cats etc... and he features heavily, looking well and making everyone laugh. That's the memories we will always hold.

Tony Smyth

''Video Blocked In Your Country'' FLIck off you Channel 4 cnuts. You wouldn't do this to a real woman. ''Political Feminism'' gone MAD Stu. It wouldn't happen in Afghanistan, would it?

Daryl

It comes and goes the waves of laughter and tears while watching clips these past few days. We'd obviously much rather have him here to make us laugh in new and unpredictable ways. But we can still keep his memory alive by talking about him and sharing our favourite moments in a community that comes together to share in our love of comedy. Thanks Josh.

Tony Smyth

We're all good Bro. I'm sorry if I come across as arrogant. I don't mean to. I'm just SO saddened and I'm not able to make sense of it. Upside-down and back-to-front... It's what Sean would've wanted.

"Rectum of the year" is a play on "Rear of the year", which is an actual award in the UK! Rachel Riley won it in 2017 alongside Idris Elba! Fearne Cotton is a TV and radio presenter and Diego Maradona was an Argentine football (i.e. soccer) player, who passed away last November.

Nicely done Josh, I like how you waited a few days. Not that any of us would've thought you were jumping on the bandwagon obviously. But it shows what a good person you are. Rarely do deaths of famous people bother me much, only Rik Mayall, Bowie⚡ and Leonard Cohen. But hearing about Sean Lock really shook me. The undefeated Carrot in a Box champion 🥕 LOL he was great. RIP Sean Lock 😢

Danny

I think the one saving grace of things like this. Is due to being a star of silverscreen he will essentially be immortalised on TV/Internet so it's almost like they never truly go away.

Gary Tamblyn

You just didn’t know what he was going to say next, but you knew it would be brilliant. His stand up stuff was ok, but what he excelled at were these seemingly unrehearsed dead pan - ad libs. There’s not enough risk taking humour these days - I’ll miss him.

As said before I feel the same way about Sean Lock as I did about Rik Mayall. I'm always so shocked when someone who makes me laugh so so much dies..I feel like they will/should go on forever! 😪

Genuinely devasted when I heard the news. One of my contemporary comedy heroes. So assured, so genuinely 'genuine', and yet so mercifully inane in his comedy. A rare talent who was somehow mainstream-popular yet always subversive & mischievous. I'll miss you Sean - you given a depressed bloke hours and hours of smiles & belly laughs over many many years. I've struggled to watch much of your stuff since the news, but I know I'll return to it for many years to come. What a legacy. Take care mate x

Steve King

I feel so lucky I got to see him live, he was hilarious. RIP Sean

ChrisW

Another great comedian taken too soon. RIP Sean

Josh

I saw you uploaded this to Youtube and it got blocked so used my US VPN to watch. The first ever vid I saw from you was a sean lock vid. Such a shame he passed. I'm also sad to learn it was throat cancer that he was dealing with in private, the last 2 years or so there was a very obvious shift in his voice and now those shows will be hard to watch - knowing he was bringing us entertainment while suffering.

R.I.P Sean. Made me laugh so many time over the years. Thanks Josh for reacting. Real nice touch!

Keith Pratt

R.I.P. Such a funny man. Never seen his sit com, will have to put that right.

Faisal Ramzan

Thanks for this Josh. Sean was such a legend and made my laugh so many times over the last 20 years or so. Also pretty much every comedian has come out and said how much they loved him and he was one of the comedians favourite.
