Also a joke in Only Fools, I think in Slow Bus to Chingford where Del jokes that as the last job Rodney had was milk monitor it was difficult for him to get him the job as an NSO…

When he blew up the 🐢 I almost starting hyperventilating I was laughing so hard. It was actually quite hard to stay in my chair. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I remember I used to watch this with my cousin over 20 years ago now. I sent her a message when we started this show. Guess what I'm watching again.... At the time our tastes were quite often so very dissimilar. But we both thought this was fookin hilarious.

This might be my favourite episode, certainly from series 1. The introduction of Rev. Bernice, the "egregious" skit between Pauline, Ross and Mickey, one of the funniest of the Dr. Chinnery scenes and its continued aftermath as the remains of the tortoise go travelling around Royston Vasey, and of course, "Aqua Vita! Or Would You Prefer Tea?" :-D That really dark ending too with the rain lashing down, the cross being raised up, Joby Talbot's brilliant, ominous score, and Edward lurking macabrely, the storm, the night time shoot, just brilliantly effective. The atmosphere and detail of this scene alone, along with more and more continuity and "split" sketches demonstrate where this show was heading. Not just another sketch show, but a full on narrative and single paradigm stitched together with part-sketches. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. My absolute favourite single episode is the Christmas Special at the end of series 2 but you've got 9 more episodes to watch before we get there, Josh! It's going to be one hell of a ride! :-D

Did you hear the news about Sean Lock, Josh? Very sad day. I can’t believe it took his passing to find out about his sitcom 15 Storeys High, it’s been widely praised on social media. Would be nice if that could make it on to one of your next polls.

I'm loving Wednesdays on here. I'm sure there are some episodes I didn't see before so it's great watching them all again now. I love that you have to show Tay the dead animal bits because you know she'll hate them 😂 that's great. How is Tay btw? It would be great to see her pop up occasionally so we know you haven't killed her and put her under the patio. Sorry LofG has put me in a dark mood I think ;) if we ever see you eating some sort of 'meat' product on here Josh I'm going to be very suspicious 🤔😁
