For me this episode is the low point of series 7. I don't think its bad or anything, it just is one that never sticks in my memory as having stand out moments compared to the rest of 7, which I actually love.

18 months ago I never understood reation channels, I thought it was weird that people would watch them and didn't really understand what anybody got out of them. Then one day I searched something like 'sean lock child actors' on Youtube and stumbled upon a reaction video you uploaded. I though I'd check it out, quickly noticed you were American and was intrigued how the humour would translate across the ocean. Here I am 18 months later and you are easily my favourite youtube channel and I look forward to revisiting my old favourite shows with you to see your take on them, and watching old shows that I never watched the first time round (such as this). I feel like a fool for my previous misunderstanding of reaction channels. Next day edit: Sean Lock just died R.I.P :-(

Yeah agree with ALW there are so few episodes that dont quite hit the mark, as ALW says this is, I think the only low point accross all the remaining episodes, looking forward to the rest, season 8 is awsome :)

for a long time they were my dirty secret lol - I think its people who love to watch shows with other people that they've seen, so they can experience it like its the first time through someone else's eyes. With reaction channels you get to have that experience more times than friends that haven't seen it you could introduce to it. They my main form of entertainment these days lol

I actually enjoy this one, but largely because when it was originally aired my family and I were on holiday that week and we recorded each episode but typically the one during our holiday failed to record, so this was the one episode of season 7 I missed! It wasn't until years later that I actually got round to seeing this one so it feels like a bonus episode to me!

I never did learn that rule properly. Something to do with the positioning of the attacking player compared to the ball? All I know is, in school I got 'offside!' shouted at me a lot for hanging around near the opponents' goal!

Where Kochanski mentions growing up in the trendiest part of Glasgow, the Gorbals, the joke is that the Gorbals was one the roughest parts of Glasgow historically

I remember watching this episode about 2 years ago and didn't like it. After watching the reaction though it wasn't as bad as I remember. I think I watched it without a laughing track though so I think that helped on this episode.

The cast and crew are quite open about this one being a cheap filler episode. It was written quickly to replace another script that was rejected late in the day.

Do you mean The Mountain in GoT? That's the only swap I remember. The old mum in The Fresh Prince of Bell Air scared the shit out of me, she was the kind of mum who wanted to takeover the whole show for herself.. despite being a background character. Replacement was a kinda nothing character background prop, though.. Yeah Kochanski was swapped.. but knowing Red Dwarf they will have likely asked Claire Grogan first. Tasha Yar was never swapped, she was killed off by Armus Skin of Evil and later brought back for Yesterday's Enterprise though. We also saw her sister Ishara Yar for one episode. Beverly Crusher was there in the first seasons.. she just had a one season holiday to get replaced by Dr. Polanski who insisted on pronouncing Data's name wrong and pissing everyone off.. Kes got really messed up IRL when she lost the part in Voyager. It was supposed to be Harry Kim getting axed, but at the last moment he won some stupid award for "TV's sexiest actor" or such.. so that swung the balance. But yeah she's been in serious trouble with the law since, I hope she gets better
