That's all she wrote folks the final episode of peep show :-(. This is a sad day an entire year spent with such a great show. I appreciate everyone who has followed this series with me. I covered everything I wanted at the end of the episode. I look forward to seeing what show wins the Saturday spot. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day !!

The show ends with 'our' pov from the screen looking at Mark and Jeremy one last time😭 I love the final words of each 'Aw he loves me really' 'I simply must get rid of him' They learned nothing and they never will, theyll be together for the rest of their lives. The constant search for 'the one' was always in vain because they are each others one

I hated the ending to this show originally, as I wanted it to finish on a happy note, yet I know now it was a perfect ending for the exact reasons you were talking about Josh. Really glad to see the US finally getting into this classic comedy. Looking forward to the replacement to this show.

I always thought Jeff was alright other people seemed to like him in the show as well, I think Mark disliked him because he didn't take any shit from him and he couldn't control him like he could with others and would wind him up constantly. I also saw somewhere that Johnson and super hans were intended to be exaggerated versions of Jez and Mark and those were the people they aspired to be, Johnson being a more confident version of mark, Hans being a cooler version of Jez.

The only slither of hope is David Mitchell, Robert Webb and the Writers have all said they want to do more Peep Show one day, when they're old men still in the same flat living the same miserable lives. So maybe in 20 years we will get another series

end of an era, everytime I drive through west croydon I see apollo House and smile. maybe the moral is something along the lines of better the devil you know. if you ever do come to London take the 20 minute train journey to west croydon Station to see it......then hurry back out of west croydon!!

Loved your Peep Show run. Sorry to be that person but please not another Peter Kay/Ricky Gervais show. Not against them being in the rotation but I'd love some variety. I think Taskmaster would be a great choice :)

So we come to end of one of the best British TV shows. The moral of Peepshow is.... 🤔 No matter how much you pretend to be something better than you truly are in order to gain something, your true persona will always come out and screw everything up. It's been emotional.

Great end to an amazing series. How Mark and Jez basically sum up the two opposites of every person's psyche just works so well. Not to put a downer on it but Peep Show felt a bit drawn out to me towards the end - think it may have benefitted from being a couple of series shorter. That said, there really aren't many/any bad episodes, just ones to me that were slightly less funny. Now onto the next! Really hope it's League of Gentlemen!

@Joe Gardiner. I know what you mean about drawn out towards the end. I felt that at the time, I think because there was a 3 year gap between season 8 and season 9. Watching them back like this without the 3 years wait inbetween it seemed better to me. A great great show for sure.

The US TV networks made a couple of US pilots, the first looked rubbish. They completely missed the POV camera concept. https://youtu.be/8Yredc3ayOE The second looked better, the actors looked more fitting and they started doing the POV thing:- https://youtu.be/c6zp4qQep58 Apparently there’s now another US pilot in the pipeline, where they are switching to female characters. https://news.sky.com/story/peep-show-to-be-remade-in-us-with-female-actors-in-lead-roles-11729529 It’s being written by the original writers. Who knows, it may be different enough to be almost a new show. 😃 Look forward to checking it out.

Oh and Josh, I agree that Joe's birthday plan for Jez, the week long party with no sleep, it does sound like a fucking nightmare, it's not even an age thing, ten years younger than Joe I'd consider that a horrible experience! Come to think of it...he was a pretty boring character. Elena and Nancy for example weren't the nicest people, but they were funny characters, with Joe it was just funny seeing Jez's reactions to the relationship, but Joe himself was a bit shit. It's a real shame Toni didn't return in the end, being one of the original characters, it would have been cool to see her again.

I would love to see a short video uploaded in which you look back on the whole show's run: highlights, opinions on the characters/show as it went on and developed... Would be really interesting to get your views on the whole thing.

Your synopsis at the end was excellent, good as anything produced by professional critics, if not better. You know you've been exposed to British humour when you're laughing at the show not ending on a happy, uplifting note and instead appreciating the misfortune that got bestowed on the characters due to their bogus & goofy behaviour

This has been a great ride. I had only seen 3 series so I've watched the rest along with you for the first time and it's been so much fun. I think it was a perfect ending, what else could it really be?

Wow has it really been over a year? That seems crazy to me. I still remember your reactions to season 1. This is definately a top 3 sitcom for me (alongside only fools and extras) and it's been great seeing you enjoy it.
