Just here from the football. A tad deflated, but 'Que Sera Sera' as Doris Day would say. Best English team I've seen in years, because it is young and doesn't seem to carry the arrogance of older teams. Hope the public and the gutter press are proud of what they have achieved and don't rake them over the coals like they have in the past; particularly the penalty kickers. Congrats to Italy; they played a better game overall and so are deserved winners. Confident the lads will deliver a good performance in a couple of years at the World Cup. Now I'll cheer myself up by watching some ugly depressed northerners get their kit off.

Such a classic movie with a great soundtrack. Tom Wilkinson who plays Gerald was the Gotham City Gangster in Batman Begins and Robert Carlyle who plays Gaz has done tons of Movies including playing the Bond villain who couldn’t feel pain in The World is not Enough. The scene where they’re arguing over who is going to steal the video from the store and gaz says, “you’ve got an innocent face, I’ve got serial killer written across my forehead” was referring to a tv show role he played a couple of years earlier, where he plays a crazy guy who murders a shopkeeper. He is actually a very highly skilled actor.

Right from my neck of the woods, this. That part in the beginning where they're stuck on the car in the canal and the old fella walks by. "All right?" "Aye, not so bad." is probably the most Yorkshire thing ever, always makes me laugh.

Yeah the main guy was played by Robert Carlyle, who amongst others you said, was also Begby (the psycho) in Trainspotting

Not a huge fan of this film but Robert Carlyle impressed me more than anything when he played Hitler. That was some top acting

So glad you enjoyed this film for what it really is unlike all the homophobes who were moaning about it getting picked in the vote! They actually did do the full monty when filming but literally the second those hats came off they all darted off the stage as fast as possible which explains the sudden freeze frame!

Mark Addy was Fred Flintstone years ago, he was also King Robert Baratheon in 'Game of Thrones' more recently.
